Scanned Well Records

This map shows the State of Alabama including the county boundaries (black lines) and the township and range grid (grey lines). The township and range numbers are shown in blue. The Geological Survey of Alabama well numbering system uses the township and range grid.The letter "A" is assigned to the northeasternmost township in each county. Remaining townships in each county are assigned sequential letters of the alphabet. Click on the county of interest and then on the desired township for the scanned well records for that township.

Some of the records scanned are old and faded. The poor quality scanned images are included to provide the user with the information that a well exisits in that area. If a clear, readable record is still needed, a visit to the files to view the original may be needed.
