The Geological Survey of Alabama (GSA) is home to one of the largest earth science libraries in the southeast. The library contains over 150,000 titles including books, journals, monographs, theses and dissertations, manuscripts, open-file reports, publications from state and federal geological agencies and professional organizations, foreign publications, and maps. Other significant holdings include aerial photographs, topographic maps, historic map collections, and general interest publications. Interlibrary loans are available by contacting the GSA library. The library is located on the second floor of Walter B. Jones Hall on the University of Alabama campus.
